The Jazz Band Class (#7502) is oriented to the learning and performance of quality band literature from various contemporary musical styles (including jazz, funk, blues, swing, Latin, and fusion-rock). It revolves around the jazz and contemporary music activity. The ensemble performs at concerts, festivals, community events, and other appropriate venues. The Jazz Band class is technically and qualitatively advanced and all students are required to perform/develop improvisation skills.
